Quick question that I could find out but am hoping someone will know. There's been a fair bit said this season regards no team having come from 7th to 1st in successive seasons. What's the lowest finishing position that has made the jump to 1st?
In PL I'm guessing 3rd, but was if Forest that got promoted before winning the league?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We won it straight with Shankly after being promoted in 62/63 I think.
      Are we winning?

Man City finished 15th in 1967 then won it in 1968.

Think I made a point when we appointed him and loads were underwhelmed. What we needed to do was get a manager who had the potential to be world class, to be our Guardiola if you like before he reached that level. We were never going to attract the likes of Klopp etc but we would do well if we could get a manager early on in his career who goes onto to be like Klopp etc

Definitely think we have that man. Fair play to FSG for having the balls to appoint him. Love listening to the guy talk

Yep exactly this, a bit like getting Rafa at the Tenerife stage of his career, before he'd proved himself at Valencia. Or Klopp when he was at FSV Mainz 05.

We had to identify a manager who could work wonders at big club before they'd already done it for another one.

I bet you didn't make any such point at all
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

You can just see it. Total legends like Xabi, Sami, Marsh, Carra and Gerrard overseeing the development of the next great team. Would be glorious
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Not quite, if Everton win their game in hand that'll put them 8 points behind us with 3 to play.

                              Ballsax. I forgot about them!

So we just need a win (Norwich) and a draw (Hopefully no-one!).

If we beat Norwich the worst we could get is 4th place. It will guarantee us the CL qualifications stage.
