How did you tell? tbh, none of that stuff would matter a jot if he was doing his job well. I do love to love the man in charge as seems to be a general Liverpool fan trait but results are what at the end of the day will ultimately matter.

Especially given how hopeful most people were last season, backing Brendan to the hilt and claiming he'd be the one to bring back the glory days.

Whatever. The point is, he is human and deserves more respect than has been afforded to him by some. I won't lose any sleep if he's sacked. I was pretty much done after the FA Cup semi. But it's still sad to see how it's all transpired.
I didn't mean to attack your post in what probably came across in a rather over the top vehemently angry fashion. I have just read that line on twitter, forums and in the press over the last few days about a hundred times and my response clearly spilled over onto the page when I was at breaking point. I don't have a drop of sympathy for the man.

I liked the time he took over for a game and dispatched with his milk bottle goggles, I wonder if he actually saw any of the game

He won though, so fair play
He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!

I have to be honest and say I've never particularly taken to him, and other than Roy that's a first (Paisley, Fagan, Dalglish, Souness, Evans, Evoullier,Houllier, Rafa, Roy Bodge, Kenny and B-Dawg are all the mangers I've witnessed).

Did you lads dislike him so personally last season? What on earth will you do if he's the boss next season...

Never understood caring about his teeth and how he left his wife. Lot's of average Joe's do both and no-one seems offended by it.

I don't think there are many people caring about those things really.

I don't dislike him personally. He's just not my cup of tea. Irrelevant really

Well said Marina. He's totally committed to us and no doubt trying his best. You could really see he has been hurt by this. He might not be good enough in the end but the abuse he is getting on here by some is way OTT and completely disrespectful. There is people on here need to wind their feckin necks in. Some of the ****e about Gerrard as well. Outrageous. Makes me want to ditch this site. Pity really it can be entertaining and informative at times. Constructive criticism and opinion is one thing but savaging players and the manager is unwarranted and unhelpful.

Same as Buzzo, I've never really warmed to him while always feeling a special connection to the previous incumbents. (Roy doesn't count )

I don't give a **** about his teeth. It is a broader context thing that I just feel like I have no clue who Brendan Rodgers is as a person. I know this sound-bite laden character who portrays himself to the press. I have no connection to him on a personal level. All a bit silly maybe but I'm not going sit here like a hypocrite speaking of the guy in reverential terms when in reality I couldn't give a **** what happens to him. I just want Liverpool to win.

They don't always play ****; last season we played the most exciting football we have in 25 years. And as for talking ****, well firstly that's very subjective and people go well over the top about it at times. Generally he does pretty well with the media (a big aspect of management these days) and well, everyone seems to want Klopp to replace him and he's hardly well known in Germany for keeping his mouth shut!

Criticisms about the signings, tactics, the club strategy etc are all perfectly fair enough but some of the other ****e people have been coming out with aside from that is really rather distasteful and should be beneath us as a fanbase imo
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                          Mine angry and defrauded young?

It isn't that Rodgers won't shut up but that he says things like this - "My biggest mentor is myself because I've had to study, so that's been my biggest influence." I can't help but immediately think, what kind of knob says something like that about himself? Especially a guy who has won nothing as a manager.

The comparison of Rodgers and Klopp is way off. Klopp has a geniality about the way he speaks that I have never gotten from Brendan. I always feel watching Klopp he is the guy you see in interviews. He is speaking from his head with honest answers. Brendan is constantly reaching for phases from his little book.

See I disagree, I've always found Rodgers to be quite personable and tend to think people pick out the odd line, often out of context and ignore the vast majority of reasonable things he says, usually because of what comes across as their pre-conceived ideas about him as some sort of upstart who has never won anything. I could easily selectively choose some Rafa quotes for example that present him in an unfair light too but that would get jumped all over so I won't try.

Klopp, well geniality perhaps but he doesn't half come out with some eccentric things at times too. I was talking about him last year with a couple of Germans (non-Dortmund fans admittedly) and they were insisting he has a massive ego. Regardless I'm not sure that characterisation of Rodgers as not giving honest answers is at all fair myself, maybe his turn of phrase puts some people off or something but the detail of what he says I'm quite convinced he believes wholeheartedly.
