The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Both Rodgers and FSG are being ripped apart on the Anfield Wrap podcast. A good point was the lack of decisiveness from all levels, and Gareth Roberts made the point that he's been told Ayre has to get the go-ahead from Gordon for all deals, which adds to the drawn out feel there tends to be around things.

I don't know whether I am pro or anti Rodgers to be honest. I guess I probably want to keep him simply because I don't think constantly changing managers after a bad season and moving to another 3/4/5 year plan will get us anywhere. It seems like we have been a 'club in transition' or about to have a 'make or break season' for the best part of the last 10 years (you could probably argue 20+)
That's why I posted it (it's not really a fair comparison but it's interesting that after one bad season the knives are out and we (fans) are looking for change). I think we need consistency. Rodger's has spent money on young players so lets give him one more season to work with them.

When you say backed do you mean pressured to sell established players, bring down the average wage bill and average age of the squad?

You can't even begin to guess or know what the club was going through with hicks and that other ******* in charge- that's why I do laugh at the press the fans who slaughter Rafa, stupid dum arse English attitude whereby they still look at Rafa as a second class person!!'
Sky are the worst, with this anti Rafa love in afair with Jose at Chelsea it's always going to be bull****e media trying to take cheap guess work at lfc and Rafa
Rafa is first class and let him sit at the top table with the money other managers have had then watch Rafa win things as he has clearly do everywhere he had been can I add
            In Rafa we trust

We played a lot of horrible football under Rafa but he certainly knew what he was doing.

Sky are a mouthpiece for Utd. Murdoch and Fergie had one common goal - to topple Liverpool. Fergie realised early in his Utd career that he needed the media (and agents) on board. Fergie often complained that the BBC were 'Liverpool biased' (another common enemy for Fergie and Murdoch).

For me it's also about the disgraceful defending, instability and goals that we've conceded under Rodgers from day one until now. Clearly he doesn't see it as being an issue. It's extremely concerning to me. I'd much rather have 'boring' 1-0 and 0-0 games and finish higher up the table being nailed on to concede in practically each game regardless of the opposition.

One **** season doesn't make a bad manager.
The two situations are not comparable though are they.

It's a stupid argument. Rafa had several good seasons before his one bad one. Brendan has one good and one bad plus his first season was half and half.

Rafa with the Suarez money and then with another 40 odd mill or what ever we spent last summer would without question not had done so with this crap we are being dished up now guys and girls.
For me I just can't have any one saying Rafa would have not at least done a better job then Brendan.

If Rodgers is kept on as manager then imo FSG will expect 3rd as a minimum....so Rodgers better start learning some magic tricks to put all this **** right.

Not at all Benitez had a far superior squad with established world class players in their prime. We should have won the league
