He's done very well but he's yet to even manage a Premier League game and didn't have a great time last time he left his comfort zone that is Bournemouth (probably harsh).

EDIT: A much more accurate figure would be a net spend of £16.9m per transfer window.

They have been giving money raised from sales and close to the maximum allowed under the financial fair play rules. Last summer we spent nearly £120m that should have been enough to get/keep us in the top 4. The problem was it was spent very badly. I don't think you can blame the owners for that. Admittedly we don't know what constraints they placed on the transfer committee but whatever they were surely they could have spent the money much more wisely than they did. £80m on Lallana, Markovic, Lovren and Balotelli while Lallana is a decent player we overpaid for him, Markovic we overpaid for the potential and Lovren and Balotelli we couldn't have even been thinking when we signed them. What FSG need to do is sort our the problem with the transfer committee and get the club signing players who suit the system we will play.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If we are to blessed and FSG sack Rodgers, they need to cast their nets abroad. We need to take advantage of lesser fortunate leagues and rip off their best players, instead of paying over inflated prices for average players from the PL. Monk needs more experience just like Rodgers probably did, win a trophy or manage in the Europa League or something FFS.

It was more tongue in cheek but I agree, Emery would probably be the best shout if Rafa and Klopp are no longer options and I doubt Ancelotti ever was.

It's not easy to forget because it's the stock defence used for them when anyone has a pop at them. They are good owners in the sense they run us as a business and run us well but their appointments, strategies and implementation of said strategies for the football side of the operation have been pretty poor so far across 2 managers so I would hope something changes on that score after the review.

That is not accepting mediocrity as they invest money in the playing squad

What needs to be looked at is who invests the money, this seems the biggest problem to me and who we bring in for our method of play.

Also Brendan needs to learn that some players cant just swap positions and still perform like pushing Can all over the place when you have two right backs already in Johnson and Manquillo.
We sold a £50m striker and bought a £35m one on half the wages. That one is also part of a similar trend.

We bought 2 strikers for a cost of closer to £60m, the other being Suarez.

I'm still hoping he gets the Bullet. It feels innevitable now. Even if Brendan stays on, nothing in his three years had suggested we won't go on a bad run at some point (particularly now we have the Thurs - Sunday routine) and I think the tide will turn against him rapidly when the inevitable bad run happens. Thats why it should just be done now. See if someone else can get a few new bods in and reinspire the current lot.

None whatsoever. For what it's worth I thought he'd get the bullet all along but I've changed my mind now, I think he'll stay.

I like Eddie Howe and I said a couple of seasons back he's one to watch. But it's just another Rodgers appointment from three years ago. He'd have ups and downs & it could go either way. Better to leave him be for a good few years.

We really need to be getting a coach of the same sort of ilk when we got Rafa. Proven winner and shown himself to be a good tactician in European competition.

I'd be amazed if he goes now, with Klopps comments, Ancelotti's supposed surgery, it being June already, press being briefed on us about to sign players etc. I also think if they were ****ing him off they'd do it from the comfort of Boston. Theres going to be some meltdowns on here over the next few days. A few will probably need a police visit to check they are ok!

Agree all the way, Rodgers got the job too soon. He needed to go through a rough patch at Swansea and get some experience of Europe.
