You'd imagine it wouldn't just be Rodgers that will be assessed

I'm now close to the point where I loath Rodgers, but it wouldn't be fair if the club all the blame at his feet.

for me the decision that FSG need to make is whether they are convinced Rodgers is a good coach.

They can look at the failures around player recruitment and address that (analysing who in the committee identified the failures and removing them from positions of influence) and that can be permitting the manager full control, appointing a DoF or another variation on the current model.

But it comes back to the question on whether Rodgers is a good coach (i.e. could he be successful if player recruitment was taken out of his hands)

While I think we'd all agree he has improved (some) of our young players (Sterling especially) his treatment of others (at face value) hasn't been great (Manquillo).

For me we've no clear method or structure - too many formations, too many players playing out of position, no real second gear, cant shut up shop when we need to, too predictable and pedestrian etc etc

And that all comes down to Rodgers

When and where did he say that? and not to dismiss Hon but sometimes these journos know little but like to suggest they know loads.

Right, did my own digging as I suspected they are old quotes and he is contradicting himself anyway

He was on the guardian podcast with James Richardson. He seemed surprised that Rodgers is getting another year but we haven't been in touch with klopp. If we had even given klopp the smallest hint we were interested he would not take his 6 months off.

Apparently klopp has 2/3 preferred / dream type jobs. We are one of them and were keeping Rodgers.
