Xabi coming back sounds too good to be true unfortunately.

I went on the Anfield stadium tour the other day and got speaking to the tour guide. He was massively talking up Xabi returning in the summer. He said he's let it be known to us that he's achieved all he wants to achieve in La Liga and that he'd be open to a return to Liverpool.

At the time I assumed he was on a bit of a wind up with me, but he seemed adamant. Now this seems to have leaked.

Probably bollocks, but it has got me thinking.

I am starting to believe also. If Balague is saying it now after being adamant it wasn't going to happen, then something must be happening behind the scenes.

Don't want him back.
Personally I'd rather we spent the money on 2 top class centre backs and a physical, mobile defensive midfielder.
£8-10m fee and circa 150k a week for 4/5 years for a 31 year old after FSG have spent 12 months lowering the wage bill.

Alonso is good, I don't agree with this theory that he's was great for us 1st time round but more importantly we have other areas of the side that need fixing.
