    Rumours where?

And doesn't his current contract run until next summer anyway?

Yeah he's out of contract at the end of next season I believe.

Likes Mourinho. If he leaves he might be just as likely to end up at the Chavs.

The Micky Ryan bollocks is a smoke screen to swap Suarez for Xabi plus 5 worn CR7 home shirts

Perhaps you're right. It'll be vile seeing him turn out for them though

The Mail (I know) are running with it now:

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will try to find out from club owner John W Henry if he is prepared to invest in an over-30s player after missing out on top target Henrikh Mkhitaryan who is joining Borussia Dortmund from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Rodgers is interested in Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso who is still revered on Merseyside but £10million for a 31-year-old is against Henry’s model.

That rug really tied the room together.

It goes against their model but if he does really want to come to us it's very different, it's a player returning home. He's never stopped being a fan and you have to believe what he's said if he's now backing it up with deeds.

The goodwill it will create amongst the players and fans make it worth the investment.

They'd be silly not to go for it.

That's if rumours are true ofc. I really want to believe this one but it doesn't stop me being a skeptical *******.

He's my favorite player of recent years. I got more pleasure from watching Xabi than I have from Torres, Suarez, Gerrard or anyone. Watching him pass a ball, the most simple and basic part of football, somehow transcends what it is and becomes an absolute joy to behold. Just the anticipation when he picks it up is ecstasy.

I will cream myself if he comes back.

I think most Liverpool fans would be thrilled to see Xabi back me included.

He is 31 but the way he plays he has at least 2,3 years left at the highest level.

Those rumors are probable BS but I cannot help to think what if.

I put a score on a few months ago when I heard the last rumour

So I'm hoping he's coming home.

Most rumours said Xabi disliked Jose. So don't see how he'd end up at Chelsea.
                              Forwards.......

I'd love him back but I can't see £12m being a fair price.
