He needs a break anyway so this may do him so good, looks ****ed but being that man that he is he is still managing to pull out the goods.
Hopefully some of the other will step up to the plate and start showing some responsibility in his place.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

If true it's a major blow IMO. Never quite understood the criticism Gerrard recieved this season just because he has been re-schooled. He has been crucial to our play this season, setting up breakaways, having had good movement and small passing.
And we really have little able to step up now. We are to thin in midfield.

I know some are going to disagree but I feel Rogers is partial responsible for this in the fact he has not managed Gerrard correctly and played him for 90 mins when there was no need to play him for the whole game. When he gets back from injury Rogers needs to either use him for 60 mins ish or as an impact sub."All I'll ever do is all I've ever done in any job, and that's promise to fight for my life for the supporters and the people of the city"

Definitely a blow for this season. I do think it could be long term benefit though. He has in many ways shielded a lot of our other players from having to take responsibility. A period with him out could be the making of players like Lucas, Allen or Henderson.Originally posted by Alex View PostId liked to have seen him out for a game or so to see how Allen/Henderson/Lucas did. But its pretty clear we are stronger with him in the side. So from that perspective its a blow. Especially going into this month.
One of the big questions will be who will take set pieces, Gerrard has looked very good this season at whipping the ball in from all sorts of places."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I agree. He's not far off 34. Needs to be managed better.Originally posted by souliv View PostI know some are going to disagree but I feel Rogers is partial responsible for this in the fact he has not managed Gerrard correctly and played him for 90 mins when there was no need to play him for the whole game. It happens especially when 33 year olds play three games in 7 days. There was no need to pick him on Saturday. Should've had a rest.Originally posted by Muddled View PostI disagree. Gerrard's picked up an injury, it happens. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think Coutinho will take some more now, he has been there for the occasional corner and freekick in to the box. Suarez looks very good on direct free kicks, so got that covered.Originally posted by dww View PostDefinitely a blow for this season. I do think it could be long term benefit though. Alternative is Henderson that did quite a few corners last season IIRC.
