What a player, Gerrard is the same age as me, seems crazy how much he's achieved and how little I have ha ha he's awesome. Fergie's comparison doesn't even bear scrutiny, but the key thing to "not getting a kick when Scholes and Keane were on the park" is that they were at the peak of their careers when Gerrard was first coming through to play against them.

To directly compare them at their peaks, Gerrard is better than both of them. They never competed at equivalent times.

Gerrard winding down is better than both of them winding down.

Gerrard could do the Scholes job and the Keane job, but neither of them could do the other midfield partner's work.
