It may look like red tinted glasses etc but I have thought about Gerrards position in world cfootball. Due to his incredible flexability I rate him higher than all of his generation. Messi is the best striker by far but I suspect a **** fullback, so very one dimensional, it doesn't matter where Gerrard plays he always delivers. This versatilty makes him the best player of his generation by far.Last edited by kev776; 26-10-13, 01:24 PM.Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.

I know Suarez bagged three but I thought Gerrard was fantastic today, played with great energy and tempo. His passing was brilliant (again) and his accuracy and crossing was fantastic.
For me he was our best player today.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Zinedine Zidane attacks Ferguson and defends Gerrard
zidane,0.jpg
Zidane believes the comments of former Manchester United boss Fergie about Gerrard in his autobiography are “strange.”
Zinedine Zidane: "For two or three years, Steven Gerrard was the best midfield player in the world."
"Even now Gerrard is playing at a high level for *Liverpool and England."
"Gerrard has been loyal to Liverpool throughout his career – which is great for Liverpool."
"But if Gerrard had wanted to leave four or five years ago then every top club in Europe would have tried to sign him."
"Clubs would have probably had to break the transfer record [To Sign Gerrard] to do it."
"I did find Ferguson's comments about Steven Gerrard very strange. To say he is not a top player is wrong."dave of mutilation

I still love the Adidas ad where he does the voice over for Gerrard - The Powerhouse or something like that.

He was tremendous yesterday and was great last week as well. I think the England games have actually got him back into form!Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostI know Suarez bagged three but I thought Gerrard was fantastic today, played with great energy and tempo. This is an argument I've had with scummers and other fools. SG could put in a decent shift in any outfield position. How many other "great" players can you say that about.
