On the face of the Rangers job is too big for anyone. Guaranteed failure awaits 100%.

He’d be better of going to any club with a better board, structure, realistic goals and a less ridiculous fan base. Rangers are not the force they were when they were cooking the books.

Would like to see Rodgers call him a 'beautiful man' if he does. I'm sure that would go down well.
      Really?

Mirror reporting Gerrard to Rangers is a done deal and that Gary Mac will be his number 2

The size of the task at hand should be becoming apparent to Stevie over the last 45 mins.

It's a terrible decision, club all over the camp they are. He should have stayed low key, out of the spotlight and learned the trade.

Don't think so, hopefully never happens.

I hope this is bull****e. Even if he miraculously does well up there he will get zero credit.

If he did well up there he'd get all sorts of credit as it would be something of a minor managerial miracle.

He won't though, the odds are so stacked against him i can't understand his thinking... well i can. The ego has been stoked by the fact he got offered a big club, but he should be thinking long-term. A seasoned manager could look ridiculous at that circus of a club.

I think if he (or whoever might take over) were to win the league they would get a lot of credit until they lose their title to Celtic again and then he would get sacked. I don't see them winning the league any time soon though as there looks to be a massive gap between Celtic and Rangers at the moment and you have to feel that Celtic will probably widen the gap. What is the record number of consecutive Scottish league title 9? I would be Celtic are on 7 now, I would be surprised if they don't beat that.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

And what do you think managing Rangers is?

                              This [emoji106].

He'd be mad to take that job. It's a poisoned chalice.

The club is a mess from top to bottom. No unity there. It's like Sunderland.

Well it's a fairly "big" job for a first time manager, with little risk in terms of expectations. I mean nobody expects Celtic to be taken down, and the overall quality in the league is so that he's practically guarenteed a top-3 next season with a few decent signings, and they still have the fan base to do so.

It's IMO a way better move than taking a job in the championship or mid table PL club, where the competition is way thougher and the expectations and patience are not in a managers favour.

I'm not saying it's an outright brilliant move for him, I would have hoped he stayed and moved up the ranks at LFC, but that may take to long. But again if Buvac is out
