not listened to this, but think he preferred Ged to Rafa but with the benefit of hindsight now rates Rafas management of him much higher.Originally posted by Roboklopp View PostInteresting to hear him say Rafa was by far away the best manager they ever had. Always thought he rated GH above Rafa.

Watched a 30 minute show on Xabi Alonso, last night (was on Optus Sport but I’ve found a YouTube link for those that are interested). Alonso clearly loves Liverpool but he's still obviously bitter about Rafa trying to sell him (Alonso says, about his coaching future, ‘I’ve worked with the best over the last 10 years’). I wonder if he’ll ever change his mind about Rafa.

Hes very very cautious around people he doesnt know and as you say this makes him come across as miserable (which I actually dont think he is)Originally posted by Frenchie View PostHe was a fantastic captain and legend let's leave it there. If you had asked me a few weeks ago I'd have said no chance of him managing usOriginally posted by cream View PostHas there been any talk of him managing us?
All seems a bit random
Even the Klopp & his extensions expiring at the same time wouldnt have convinced me, however listening to that interview he did with Carragher I'm not sure now. Just some of his comments made me think, theres more to this
I'm still not convinced, but then I think replacing Klopp is gonna be a massive quandary anywayBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I like Ljinders he comes across wellOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostI don’t like thinking about it, but based on that interview it’s hard to imagine Pep Ljonders isn’t in poll position.
I can see Klopp staying with us for a long time now though.
Still think it will between him and Gerrard (and I think Ljinders will stay even if Gerrard came in)
I dont know about Klopp, sometimes you get the impression he wants to stay forever but I think if we squeeze out anymore than hes currently contracted I think we will be doing wellBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. The comments in Ljinders interview were equally telling in the belief that this project is career defining.
I can see Klopp wanting to build a succession plan, and I suppose 4 years is time enough to do that. Will he be able to walk away if we are still at the top of our game in 4 years? I’m not so sure?
Leaving Dortmund was simple enough for him in the end because there form fell off a cliff.
My approach just now is definitely one of not looking too far ahead. We’ve waited a long time for where we are now, best enjoy the moment! My son has just got into footy and it is really hard to get across to him how abnormal this team is!!!Modifying post.

I actually agree with Gerrard regarding Klopp knowing already when he wants to go, and that'd be at the end of his contract.
4 years is still a long time for candidates post-Klopp to rise up or rule themselves out.
And on Gerrard, I do wonder if he wins the league with Rangers, and continues doing OK in Europe, if let's say Rodgers moves to City, would he move to a Leicester or another Premier League club?

Leicester would be a good move for him, they have a decent side and seem well runOriginally posted by Phoenix07 View PostI actually agree with Gerrard regarding Klopp knowing already when he wants to go, and that'd be at the end of his contract.
