I just think every time he has a bad game people seem to be very quick to right him off as past it over the past couple of seasons. He's 33, he's got plenty of life in him.

Playing too many games at his age, 3 games in a week simply shouldn't happen! Hopefully after he's back we'll manage him properly and its just one of the reasons why we need another CM in January.

to be fair I haven't seen much of us lately but was going from reports. Ideally a left footer playing left back is better, however I feel when you push a centre back out there it looks equally uncomfortable. I'm not sure he'd offer us much more. In fact Flanagans aggression is a plus point for me.

Hamstring injuries are very common and happen regardless of age and how many games a players had. Just look down that list, its there a ton and through all ages.

You could argue 3 games in a week is a bit much, agreed, but it's got nothing to do with him being 33.

Last year Gerrard was very close to an ever present, and it was his least injury disrupted and most consistent season in a good few. I'm just not sure the evidence is there really to criticise Rodgers and his team's management of Gerrard's fitness since they came in, indeed rather the opposite.

He's been exceptionally fit over the last 18 months and lot of that has to do with our medical team but imo he should have been rested as 3 games in 7 days is a lot for 33-year old player.

That being said, he could have pulled the hamstring at any point in time so I am not sure BR should be blamed for that.

Gerrard named founding partner of children's charity after donating half a MILLION to Liverpool hospital

Steven Gerrard has been named a founding partner of Alder Hey Children's Charity after making a £500,000 donation to the Liverpool hospital.
The Liverpool captain raised more than £1million following his testimonial game against Olympiakos and subsequent gala dinner in August.
Alder Hey is a pillar in the Merseyside community, treating more than 200,000 children from the Northwest each year, and enjoys tremendous support from the city's football teams. It will move to a new site in 2015, adjacent to the current building.

Gerrard wanted the people of Liverpool to see where the money that was raised in August was invested and Alder Hey were eager to recognise his backing.
'It's a great privilege to be able to be involved with Alder Hey and their charity,' said Gerrard
'The money we have donated from my foundation was raised during my testimonial earlier this year.
