He was disciplined and helped encourage his team mates, helped them when some were down and their heads had gone.

Apart from when he led the team out at the start of the second half and John Lionheart Terry stopped them in the door of the dressing room and got them to huddle around, leaving Gerrard leading no one out, isolated and staring at the cameras.

I'm fairly sure he could have got it off his chest behind the closed door of a dressing room.

Stevie has been excellent but I wonder whether he could do that for us in the premiership.

The pace of the games in the euros hasnt been like the epl so it suits him but as soon as you get back playing aginst the likes of everton and stoke who dont give you a second on the ball it might be more difficult for him.

Central midfield in the epl is definitely not for older legs.

Stevie in my opinion has led by example and living up to his tag of captain fantastic although the performances have not been soo much about his powerful drives forward which is probably down to RH's tactics, he has assisted at least one goal in each of group games! We love you stevieee we dooo
