United before that too, so that's at least two.

Harsh on Suarez, thats the first real bad game he had ... a lot of the few chances he gets are under real pressure which he has created out of nothing...

This **** going to take time but ... man I am surprised Stevie was not dropped he was appalling out there today ..like I say I truly hope he is just not match fit or has a Euro Hang Over .. because that was shocking

We needed him and Suarez to step up today and they both just did not turn up ... how many times have we said that about Stevie in Big Games .... its my one true criticism of him ... he can go missing when the big teams come to town

suarez seems completely preoccupied with nutmegging players and winning free kicks--to the detriment of the rest of his game. it's bizarre actually.

I think you're being a bit harsh on Rodgers mate. I don't think he lacks the bottle to make big decisions. He played Coates against City, when the easier option would be to stick Carra in there, and Sterling is playing instead of a £20 million winger in Downing. He also told FSG that he didn't want the job unless it was on his terms. Personally, I think that if Gerrard continues to play like today, he'll be warming the bench.

Simple solution. Don't play him in mid week games, just play him in the league - unless we get to the latter stages of a competition.

Suarez got **** all support from the midfield, Sahin was anonymous and Gerrrard was a liability, not his fault.

Suarez was very poor. WHen he did get in dangerous positions he either miscontrolled the ball, or ran into the defender. And when he was breaking without support, he ran head down into a crowd and lost it rather than holding it and waiting for support.

I think he feels quite a lot of pressure, without someone who can score goals to take it off his shoulders he feels like he needs to create/score everything himself, it's so frustrating sometimes, but when we get pissed off with him we sometimes have to realise that he's up front on his own with no support around him.

He's not a "number 9" goalscorer, he's a brilliant dribbler and possible creator, him and Torres would have been lethal. As it is, I think we should swap him and Borini round, Suarez pulling wide to receive the ball can leave us with no-one up front.

Suarez is frustrating, chance after chance he misses, rolls round with the slightest contact (thus the refs give him nothing, even when there's a legit foul), loses the ball needlessly more than any other player and don't get me started with the Evra stupidity.
He as much as Gerrard needs to get his head down and start working and stop living of his reputation.
                      We come not to play.

I think the midfield did support Suarez at times (part of the reason that Arsenal controlled midfield was that our midfielders were pushing on too much), but he has a tendency to try to take on 4 players when there is an easier ball on. His unpredictability is part of his strength, but he needs to be more aware of others - as well as improve his passing. The amount of times, especially in the first half, that he lost possession was shocking, and not only when he was on his own.

I'd play him in the middle of the front 3 or drop him.

I and many others didn't think Rodgers would have the balls to sideline Carra, unfortunately now he has another big decision on his hands.
