I agree - it should be Allen, Shelvey + 1. Whether that is Gerrard or Sahin should be on form, not name.

I'm not sure he can play in the middle of the park, its never been his best position, I'd give him a go out on the right instead of Borini

Sadly his days as a marauding midfielder who can both control and win games for us appear to be behind him.

Sadly he doesn't appear to have the tactical sensibility to alter his role for us. No doubt the mind is still willing but the legs appear to have gone.

Whatever decision Brendo makes regarding Gerrard will most probably define his early Liverpool career or in fact his (Rodgers) entire Liverpool career.
