It's obviously really jarring for most of us to see Rafa managing Chelsea, just as it is for many neutrals for whom the appointment just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. But I think pining for Rafa and wishing he was our manager instead of Rodgers won't do anybody any favours and is a bit counterproductive and disrespectful.
For all intents and purposes, we as a club needed a brand new start and that's what we got. The fact that Rafa has gone to Chelsea should not impact the way in which we support our own gaffer simply because of what's gone on in the past. Brendan Rodgers and Rafa Benitez are two completely different managers and should be treated as entirely separate entities in our mental and emotional collective as fans.
