I love the rafa rafael rafa rafael song.
as much as it would be nice to hear it again it would be unfair on Brendan.
i was just wondering what people thought will happen.
He should be applauded by our fans (quite rightly so), but I think I'd be uncomfortable in hearing his name being chanted with Rodgers being our manager.
Will be good to see Rafa's press conferences and interviews again.

The songs in his era were great, and I don't think we've seen such imagination since. Dunno why that is but a lot of our players had really good songs back then, and Rafa's songs were great. Now some of our top players barely even have a song. **** all for Allen, Johnson, Sterling, Skrtel and even the songs for the likes of Lucas and Agger are barely heard.Originally posted by CJ View Posti was just wondering. i imagine the reception would be great.

I think Rodgers will relish going into the game in April against Benitez. A former European Cup winning manager, adored by many, ex manager of the club. He's the type of man who'd look forward to testing his wits against him. It'd be a chance for him to well and truly bring some fans from the past into the present.

So what you saying ? We only sing when we're winning.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThe songs in his era were great, and I don't think we've seen such imagination since. Tbh, it's a reflection of how good we all felt at the time he was manager. European Giants we were, in name and on performance.

I hope he fails miserably. All's fair in love and war and I hate that club Chelsea which he is now a part ofOriginally posted by Imy View PostI think the best description i've read is he's to the Chelsea fans to what Hodgson was for us
I do hope he's a short term successful fix like Hiddink was.
Good luck Rafa, you're going to need it.

With the quality of their squad against ours, it could quite easily be very embarrassing for us.
No better way for Rafa to send a message to FSG either.

Think you're probably right, and three years of **** performances, millions wasted etc has taken its toll on what IMO has become a tired fanbase.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostSo what you saying ? We only sing when we're winning.

It has been horrible since he left, absolutely horrible.
Only now I feel optimistic about our future but it is still a long journey ahead."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I loved Rafa and the Rafa songs. One of my favourite memories from his era was the Porto game in 2007 after the spat with the yanks and it was rumoured that Rafa was in a precarious position. There was the march before the game and the match was memorable not only for the 4-1 win and Torres' brace but the Rafa songs and the support shown to him throughout.
I still have great fondness for the man and wish him well there, since we are not really competing with them either for league position or the top trophies. It would be amusing to see him finish above Ferguson this season, possibly even winning the title, and ramming all that bile that drunken idiot has spouted in the past along with his cronies at the LMA and the press back down their throats.
That said, there is no way I can bring myself to sing the name of a manager of a rival club. He'll get a warm applause from me when he visits Anfield as an opposing manager of an English club, but no more.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
Purslow = C*nt
