Mourinho has his own fan club on most LFC forums, we've all seen the debates rage. There is no debate among Chelsea fans ....he is unanimously loathed and not wanted. So that comparison doesn't stand up.

There are many more LFC fans prepared to take Mourinho than there are Chelsea welcoming Benitez. Many, many more.

They feel he is inextricably linked to us, which I can kind of understand. However, the spokespeople for their fans groups are all quick to tell us he's "a poor manager" too, which is laughable.
Keyes just read that Quote out saying....'Who said that in 2010 ?'

Andy Grey answered...'Not Rafa Benitez! Ah but that was way back in 2010..give the man a break'

This is why i think he's on a hiding to nothing, he needs to win win win.

Hopefully he will, just not against us.

edit: You are sure you checked now ? thoroughly ?
I'm going to send them an e-mail now to ask them to name their source for that spurios quote.

Cannot believe Talk****e let a Chav fan say on air that Rafa should be in some restaurant waiting. Un****ingbelievable. Made my blood boil. And they gave the cunt more time to discuss Rafa.

By the way - the Benitez never managing United quotes - will be in reference to this:

          Doesn't directly name United though.

Could be Ballague putting two and two together with that snippet.
Rafa insinuated that the Chelsea job would be one that would interest him back when they gave Villa-Boas the bullet, which led to immediate outcry from the fans, such as the video above.
I guess its possible that he could have been offered the role, but turned it down perhaps in the hope of re-taking the helm with us.
            Possible.

              FOOTBALL
Rafael Benitez is due to meet his Chelsea players today for the first time, and he will be hoping for a better greeting than the one presented by angry supporter outside their Cobham training ground who is holding a banner saying: 'BENITEZ OUT - 1 DI MATTEO'.

Gullible ****ers. It's made up. I've searched the web for that exact quote between 2007 and 2010 - not one result. A Chelsea reporter claims it was 2007, others say 2010. They don't know because it's made up.

                  Sent them this.

That quote about RAFA never managing Chelsea, do you have a source, because he didn't say it, it's made up.
Find a source or apologise, now!

                  Didi.
Tbh, though, the made up quote isn't the one that hurts him most anyway, it's what he said about the fans, he's on a hiding to nothing with many of them.

I never thought that I'd be following the Chelsea manager on Twitter.
                    Oh I don't know.

Things like the quotes RAFA made are why this will get dirty, he will be asked about what he said about Chav fans in comparison to LFC fans, how does he answer ?

Oh i just said it because i was LFC manager then, i didn't mean it ?

"Chelsea is a big club but I would never take that job, in respect for my former team at Liverpool, no matter what." Rafa Benitez 2007
I like that he's attributed a 2007 Benitez 'quote', in which he refers to his 'former team' - 3 years before he left! What a muppet.

It's had over 1000 retweets and every Chelsea forum is full of it - it's the main stick they're using to beat Benitez. It is absolutely laughable.
