Seriously dude, I adore that man and his family. I wish I had friends, and people around me like him. Such a genuine bloke who obviously loves the club and mores the point the City, there was a great interview with him recently which really cast a clear light on how difficult things had become for him and his staff just to do there jobs on top of the pressure of getting champions lg football. All that aside .. what a wonderful servant to our club, what a lovely man, what a great family .. I salute him, we were very lucky to have him and honestly best of luck to him ... Chelsea are a ****ehouse club with ****ehouse fans but Rafa is a Worldclass manager who has waited around for a top job, there are only a 12 of them in world football, about 4 of them are set in stone .. that leaves 8 possible jobs ... if one comes up .. he has to go for it .. its all about the football and testing himself ... I fear he will do very well

No-one at Liverpool can begrudge Benitez this move IMO. He would have jumped at the chance of a return but instead FSG went for a Swansea manager untested in Europe and untested at the big clubs. Benitez can't sit around with his thumbs up his arse, he wants to work in England, FSG didn't want him, Roman does however, so it's a no-brainer for him. I think he will do really well with Chelsea.

A possible scenario:

A quick win in Dec with the World Club Cup (as he did at Inter), then a possible domestic trophy and the prospect of winning the Europa League - they're not going to get out of the CL group stage.

CL qualification secured in the EPL.

Unlike RDM, he then leaves in summer for a project where he can have control...

When you say all you can find, i take it you mean 'you' and not me, as all i did was copy and search the text, and saw lots of forums come up talking about it, i didn't enter any of those forums to search.

He hasn't though, United is a completely different kettle of fish. He's already said he'd never manage them. Chelsea are not our rivals, I don't get why people keep talking hypothetically about Man United. It wouldn't be the same thing at all.

You're right he hasn't. That WOULD have been unforgivable .

But if I had to name three clubs in the Premier League I'd have hated him to have joined Chelsea would have been right up there in my top 3 to be honest. So I can't help feeling a bit disappointed by this, even if I can understand his decision.
