Rafa didn't stand a chance with the cunts they have in the dressing room. I don't think he will be bothered as its just a pay day for him. If those ****ers suffer as a result i don't think Rafa will loose any sleep over it.

I turned off as soon as she said i can't like Rafa because it's uninspiring and boring and same thing all the time, then said immediately after.....there's nothing specifically wrong with the way Chelsea are playing.Originally posted by kingfunk View Post

The problem with Chelsea is they try to play 3 players who are very similar together behind a striker who doesn't offer enough to the team. They don't really have anyone defending from the front or player who is full of energy. Mata, Oscar and Hazard are all fantastic players when they have the ball but you need to earn the right to play.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostRafa didn't stand a chance with the cunts they have in the dressing room. Lampard has also being playing pretty advanced, making a lot of forward runs so they're leaving themselves very unbalanced. Rafa used to always have a platform of Alonso and Mascherano with the work rate of Kuyt and the quality of Gerrard and Torres.
I think Chelsea need to sacrifice some of their flair for a bit of graft, in some games Hazard/Oscar and Mata can go 70 minutes without really any involvement. If I were them I'd go all of for Falcao and look for a player like Pedro, a player that has quality but puts in plenty of work.Vive la France

Don't think he is that bothered compared to if he was the full time manager but he knew what he was taking on and was always getting replaced in the summer no matter what he did there so why put your heart and soul into something that isn't going to last? and tbh after the way the fans have treated him he's too classy for that shower anyway.Originally posted by AnfieldForever View PostDo you honestly think he isn't bothered? **** me

Didn't he say he'd like the job full time not so long ago?Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostDon't think he is that bothered compared to if he was the full time manager but he knew what he was taking on and was always getting replaced in the summer no matter what he did there so why put your heart and soul into something that isn't going to last? and tbh after the way the fans have treated him he's too classy for that shower anyway.
Rafa has a lot of rebuilding of his CV to do, since leaving us he's had a bit of a tough time of it, maybe he's made some wrong choices. Like going to Inter after Mourinho just won the treble and they wanted to slash their wage bill.
He'll want to prove himself again and at the moment it's not good enough, no excuses, he knew the job he was walking into.
I'm a massive Rafa fan by the way I just don't think he's helped himself at all.Vive la France

I don't think he would have got the job even if he had won the league and CL.
Roman has sacked managers that have won the double, CL and also Mourinho who has been one of the best managers over the past decade.

That's the thing come the summer he wouldn't have to sack Rafa, he's just interim so I think it was Rafa putting it out there he'd be interested if he was offered it.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostDidn't know that.

I reckon if he'd won the league their fans would still want him out, Rafa would need 2 years to implement his style on that side and even if he was full time he'd never get that at Chelsea.Vive la France

He'll never get that chance with the likes of Cole and Terry in the team along with the fans attitude towards him. Chelsea is run by the dressing room mafia backed up by the Russian mob.

I think a lot of people and things are at fault, but if it had to be reduced to any one thing then I say it's Abramovich - paradoxically the very person also responsible for them being worthy of mention.Originally posted by AnfieldForever View PostSorry dude, I must have misunderstood your post.
My point still stands though, if Chelsea are struggling who's really to blame?
The quick road to success they had has affected expectations of both the fans and Abramovich himself. Add in his meddling and desire to dabble in footballing affairs that are normally outside of an owner's remit and it's not surprising the success they built has not been sustained.
The club culture that has brought about is toxic. Due respect and patience is not given where it should be - not only the owner but players and now fans have made unreasonable demands and undermined attempts by managers to implement a coherent strategy. That's the single biggest problem IMO. Players and managers have come and gone with them underperforming, this has been the common denominator.
Specific to the current situation, it's doubtful what impact Rafa can have. Coming in mid season on a short term contract doesn't suit someone who looks to succeed through emphasis on team ethic and exploiting intimate tactical awareness - the role never made sense to me from that POV and was the reason I felt it may not go well. With time I think he'd do well for them, but given his methodology how much can he impart in this time considering pressure for instant results, and knowing he is not sticking around how much will the players be receptive to his methods?
I don't watch them closely enough to say if Rafa is making ****ty decisions, but they have the third best squad and if they finish there having sacked someone mid season then they should call it making the best of a bad situation.
So I suppose in answer to what you said earlier, no - I don't think it's the fans fault they are ****, I don't think it's Rafa's fault they are ****, but then I don't even think they are ****

That's because he's always thought himself as a top manager since his two league wins with Valencia. Unfortunately for him, and for us, he is not a top manager and I hazard he never will be.Originally posted by peekay View PostHe has chosen his post LFC clubs wrongly.
A very good manager, who transformed our youth academy, sure. But the way "he lost" our reasonably easy league title in 2009 spoke volumes. Inter were fooled, and then Chelsea.
Sadly, a great many of our own fans are still fools too.
One tit for another.
