Thanks, im not on here to impress you

      That's good.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                  Rafa's response to Zlatan

Zlatan: "In my opinion, we are stronger than Inter because now I am at Milan. With Robinho's arrival we are more complete, we are favourites to win the Scudetto and the Champions League. "

Rafa: "Football has changed a bit. This week I have heard it said that the Rossoneri are favourites to win everything. They said the same in Istanbul when I faced the Rossoneri with Liverpool. They said it until the end of the first half of that match, but then something changed."

                    Good reply

I think Rafa may have his work cut out this season though - Milan do look incredibly strong and if their attacking options click (Zlatan, Robinho, Pato, Ronaldinho) then you have to say, it looks pretty mouth watering.

You win matches with strikers but you win competitions with defenders. Milan's defence is an utter shambol so unless they plan on scoring 4 goals every game they will struggle to compete.

That's a fair point, but there's so much dross in Serie A, that they could probably compete defensively, on the basis that most of their opponents will be utterly ****e going forward - not to mention the teams who will play Milan with no intention of attacking or scoring, but will just try to park the bus and not concede.

But they aren't competing with the lower table teams, they are up against Inter and Roma and Juve. And just because they play them twice doesn't mean they aren't up against them every week. Inter just don't look like the team to falter against poor opposition where Milan could, a shaky day for their hit and miss boys up top and they don't have the defence or even midfield now to back them up like Milan or Roma or Juve...

When i mentioned lower table sides, i meant on the basis that probably upto 30 out of their 38 games are against ****e sides anyway. They have plenty enough to win those kind of games, even without being watertight defensively.

I dont really get what this means: "And just because they play them twice doesn't mean they aren't up against them every week"

Inter under Mourinho didnt look likely to falter much against weaker sides, Rafa has to prove he can maintain that consistency. They are 2-1 up now in stoppage time against Udinese. Went ahead, got pegged back to 1-1 and then took the lead with a penalty. Not as convincing as it could be, but early days. I personally quite fancy Milan to nick it this year, but it should be competitive.
