It's what gets me with people saying how great his mind games are, he very often makes crass personal attacks on people, often drawn into making such remarks by something said; by someone, which imo is not masterful, not at all, he's just as reactionary as any manager, probably more, yet he's held up as being the one who plays the expert mind games.

In other news, the former Reds manager was reportedly on the verge of becoming West Ham United boss earlier this summer.

That was before Slaven Bilic stepped in, with Hammers owner David Sullivan claiming the Spaniard was extremely close to a deal before performing a u-turn and moving to 2014 European champions Real Madrid instead.

“Rafa Benitez was within three hours of signing for us,” Sullivan told the London Evening Standard.
