The Norwich defeat pretty much condemned them, but they're down now after today's result.
I love Rafa but he's made some funny old career choices since leaving us. Love his passion for the game and his self-confidence - and he wins trophies - but again he's stumbled into another bag of ****. He needs some time out and a new career coach.

You can't blame him for taking the Inter or Real Madrid jobs, they are the type of jobs all managers would want he has just been unfortunate that he didn't last very long in either. You could probably add Chelsea to that category, but the fact that it was an interim position makes it a little more complicated, but as a way of getting back into the game it made sense. Newcastle is a hiding to nothing, I would be surprised if he were still at Newcastle next season, which would mean 4 of his last 5 jobs would have lasted less than a year. He needs to go somewhere that he can stay for a while and build something, Napoli gave him that chance but his dream job came up.Originally posted by Lee View PostThe Norwich defeat pretty much condemned them, but they're down now after today's result.

Shame with Rafa and whatever the circumstances ultimately he failed at both Inter and Madrid.
The Newcastle job was I guess a calculated risk from him, if he had managed to keep them up it certainly would have added to his cv however it really looks unlikely he'll do so and you wonder if there will be any more opportunities in the PL to manage again.

I reckon he should stay if they go down, get em back up after a summer of change and he'll probably be a legend there. If they win at home to Swansea next weekend things suddenly might look a bit different anyway as they've also got the 3 points off Villa to come aswell. A win for Norwich somewhere though probably finishes them and think they've got a couple of nice home games coming.
