The Championship would be a step backwards for Ibe and wouldn't really tell us anything we don't already know about him. He needs to progress in the PL and show some consistency or at the very least go somewhere like Celtic and get some CL experience.

Reagrdless of Rafa's history with us, it's an intersting project. Such a high profile manager managing in the Championship and PL players opting to drop down and play for them. Gonna be a lot of pressure on then from teh off, so need to get off to a good start against Fulham.

Yeah, i would like to say i hope it will work out for Rafa (and i do) but it's such a cluster**** of a club i am unsure. He's certain to bring them up though, i think they've dealt well in the market.

They're a club who will love anyone who does good by 'em. None of the preconceptions of half the other teams.

Sooner or later though they'll get idea's above their station and start abusing him.

Despite being relegated, it was clear that Rafa isn't a fraud and he was brought in way too late to save them. Geordie fans have gone up in my estimation because of that.
