    I'd start him alongside Toure.
To say he did better than Skrtel is madness IMO.

15 - Mamadou Sakho made 15 clearances tonight, the most by a Liverpool player in a league game this season. Baptism.

How many we're in the air Reecey? He looked good heading the ball to safety. Could have had a clear header on goal if he & Wisdom communicated better.

Looks incredibly composed with the ball but is dragged out of position too easily and is a little to eager to dive in rather than stay on his feet. Personally I thought it was an impressive debut.

He was good, but deffo has a bit of the Djimis about him.

surprised how many people are giving him a hard time

i thought he was decent last night in a tough game.

new to the team/league/country - needs games and match fitness

too me he looked comfortable on the ball and strong in the air. He did look a bit rash to put it lightly dived in a few times looking to kill people and completley missed but i'll put that down to nerves, lacking a bit of sharpness and the fact that on his debut he probably wanted to kill someone to make a statement bit like a striker wants to score, sakho wants blood

it's going to take a bit of time but i reckon our defence options look very good and will only get better

bearing in mind we have lost two hugely experienced characters in reina and carragher
wisdom and kelly are still youngsters
mignolet/toure/sakho/cissokho/ilori all new signings but i'm confident will contribute
are two 'key defenders' if you like agger and johnson both have some fitness issues.
skrtel thought he was on his way out the door, so fair play to him for not throwing a strop and coming back with two good performances.

the only other experienced first teamer is enrique and he can blow hot and cold

all in all, once people are fit, have more games under the belt together and settled i'd argue we'll have as good if not better defensive options than anyone else in the league.
