Mad eh. I think his passing is one of his strengths. Very high completion rate and makes brave passes through little gaps, zipping it into feed in midfield. Very rarely leathers it.

I actually think he's the only one out of our backline that can pass a ball and I would count that as one of his strengths

To me he looks awkward when he passes the ball and he ends up on his backside when doing it most of the time and he had a 10 to 15 minute period against city where his passing let him down. I'm sure Rodgers and the team will have him working on his passing and staying on his feet when doing so. Don't get me wrong most of the time his passes do come off but ending up on his backside while doing it can't be good.

sure he sometimes looks a bit awkward but his positive passes forward have been a welcome addition to our defense and is essential to how we want to play. big loss for me

He did it in the game against Chelsea yesterday. His passing let him down against city when he would under hit the pass on a number of occasions and city would hit us on the attack and there have been times when he has ended up on his backside when passing in other games.

I didn't see the whole City game, but noticed he had a brief spell where a few passes went completely astray. But on the whole his passing has been excellent and the stats back that up.

According to this he has a 92% passing accuracy! doesn't sound like a weak part of his game to me either

He's our best defender,at a time when most of our defenders aren't very good at defending he's going to be a big miss.Any other facets to his game are a bonus and I don't concur,think he's a good passer of the ball. Once again Skrtel shocking for the second goal but Sakho's attempted block of the cross wasn't great either
