Sakho's 1st bad game of the season?
Rushed back with 4 or 5 days training after 5 weeks out?
He's the least of our CB worries, Sakho was our best defender by a mile in Klopp's early games when fully fit and playing regulalry.

1 bad game and the knifes come out.
I forgot that Skrtel and then Lucas were immense dominant defensive figures alongside him.

Oh that's right, one is scared of his own shadow and the other can't run.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Besides that last bit I agree, Sakho wouldn't have played under normal circumstances IMO.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

No they are not. I get tired of that generalisation. Why is it hard to separate having a discussion on a football forum/internet to real life?

Most football fans are normal people that enjoy the hell out of this pass time and dont debate it on the internet. Saying most football fans are gob****es is just as bad as the idiots that give it the bad name.

He is a decent Premier League CB that is prone to mistakes.

I think if you put a very good CB along side him, then the defence will be way more solid. He just cant bring other players up to the level if they are inferior to him. Seems like the sort of player who could raise his game to meet his partner, rather than helping his partner raise his.

Think thats a fair assessment of him. That all being said I ****ing love him and hope he never leaves.

I think that the alot of the problems with the team at the moment are down to not having leaders in the side, I feel that Sakho is a good player but he sometimes tries to do to much, and most of the mistakes he makes are often due to him trying a turn or a flick or something that gets himself into trouble. IMO he needs defensive organiser next to him to rein him in a little, someone like Jamie Carragher who would give him a bollocking for something like that when he needs it, that IMO would make him a better player. The problem is none of the other CBs at the club are capable of doing that.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Then he gets Injured, he gets ****ing injured, one of our players also gets injured .. and he is rushed back, of course the manager says hes not being rushed back ... but hes being ****ing rushed back and he has a **** game in a **** team on a **** pitch and suddenly he's getting pelters ... Sakho did have a **** game. He was atrocious. It's fair to say that had Lovren played like that I'd be stood at the top of a hill screaming for him to be sold. Luckily Sakho has had previous good games and by the majority he's given credit.

The only problem with football fans is that 99% of fans don't get to the games regular enough, have little experience of playing the game at a decent level and same coaching wise.

It means that the average opinion given by a football fan is very uninformed and as such can very easily be completely wide of the mark. We all will think we are right based on what we personally have seen, but with limited experience we can't be sure to be right. I include myself within that group btw, I've seen some of our away games but haven't been to Anfield in nearly a decade, I played football to Sunday league pub level & have never even thought about coaching.

I give my opinion & debate as I enjoy it. But I'd be an idiot to have a go at people who come from a different viewpoint. The only idiots who debate are the ones who believe their point to be gospel.

I disagree, I can't get to the game being based in Hong Kong but I am pretty sure I watch more football than most average football fans. I love LFC but I also love football, I watch 4 to 5 games a week in BPL, MOTD, listen to about 5 podcasts weekly and read a bunch of respected people and have done for as long as I can remember. I understand football. Football fans these days are mostly a reflection of the Football Media, impatient, short sighted, half of them dont know why players are not in the team, cant name you anyone outside of the starting 11. Their mindset is, he needs to be awesome everyweek if he is not then he is ****, no middle ground. You even have people questioning Klopp now I mean Jesus ****ing Wept

The last time I read something similar, it came from Tim Sherwood

Actually I get where you're coming from but then again there are lots of managers who didn't play at a high level or any level at all for that matter - Wenger and Mourinho spring to mind - so I do think it's possible to have decent perspective without being involved in the game.

Then again there are lots of reactionary posters on here who suggest you have a point

They didn't play, but they were involved in football in some form.

I think what we would all agree on is that if any of us watched LFC training and went to every match we'd have a better opinion than if we just watched games on TV. Very likely we'd hold different opinions.

Example, if I was watching training and Firmy was struggling with the physical aspect, I'd probably be less inclined to say he'd settle immediately, or if a player is really sharp, I'd probably be more inclined to say that player should start.

So whilst it's not as simple as saying a match goer will hold a better opinion, it should be that they are in a better position to hold a correct opinion.

I'd be more inclined to say a better position to formulate an opinion but not necessarily the "correct" one.
