I don't have an accent cobber, it's you New Bruce's that have the accent.

He's more than good enough for us, it's sour grapes to suggest he isn't. It's a bit of a blow that he's leaving.

I'm still not sure I get what he's thinking. It could purely be money I suppose. Other than that why leave a team that's massively on the up, plays amazing football and is in a better league?

He's not going to get much game time with the arrival of Keita either I suppose

Personally I think he's a good squad player but a little too slow & ponderous for a first choice starter

                  Moving on....
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Good enough for the squad yes. But if he stayed would you be thinking he'd be first choice next season? I probably wouldn't as I would be inclined to agree that we need someone better...

                    Keita Hendo MrX

                    Milner Can Lallana

That's before factoring in Ox for obvious reasons.

Do we have a first choice midfield?

I mean we do right now but only because there's only three fit

Other than that there's not much currently in it.

                        Poor Gini.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Juve win titles every year and we’re wondering what the attraction is?

Can has been here 4 seasons, that’s a fair chunk of his career. Maybe he just wants to experience playing in different leagues and living in different countries.

Good luck to him. Losing him is a blow, and he’s far better in the no.6 role than Hendo is.

I would have wanted him to stay, but it's not a blow exactly to lose him. More of an inconvenience. Are we not due some compensation? Or is that just for locally trained players?
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Sure we've rotated and had injuries and form switch things up, because there aren't really enough stand out players at the moment. That's half the problem.

Hendo is unquestionably a first choice player. I will be shocked if Keita isn't, even if he is eased in at first. That leaves one spot. Would you say if Can stays you'd be happy that he can really make that his own and be counted on in that way?

If you do fair enough, but if the answer is no, ultimately the tweet was right about us needing better. It's not damning of Can, it's just an
acknowledgement that he is not at the kind of level where his loss will be felt keenly or require some miracle transfer work.

Can't believe I forgot poor Gini sorry dude

No compensation as far as I know. Either way, it’s still going to cost more to replace him and we have far more urgent positions in need of upgrade. We could really do without having to use up transfer funds on replacing one of our best midfielders.
