**** Can - leaving on a free is a sin in my book - don't really care where he goes as never really rated him that highly - he can either stay and warm the bench or ply his trade at a lesser club.

      Bit weird.

He signed a contract when he joined and he is respecting it. Didn't leave half way through. Didn't make a fuss like some. Just saw the thing through from start to finish.

      That's fine in my book.

He doesn't want to be here,we have better players who want to be here, so he can just leave, to be fair to him he did give his best this season. Lots of players can improve us and want to be here, so I'm not worried in the slightest.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Also the Club could have sold him if they wanted a fee. The club decided on balance the best value option was to keep him rather than sell. Can't fault the player for that. We signed him on a reduced fee / Free FFS!

All the time there were rumours of him going the biggest irk was that we'd not get any money for him. A fair amount on here wanted him to sign a new deal with a get out clause and would then have been happy to see that clause activated

He's shown some good performances but they have been too few and far between for me. I don't know that he would have got into our side this season when everyone was fit. I think if he goes to Juventus that league might suit him more so good luck to him. If he goes somewhere else in the PL he can **** off. That said if he signs for a rival I wouldn't worry too much about coming up against him and if he goes to City surely he's going to be a squad player. Part of me is wondering if he might go to the scum

He did the exact same when he came to us and the vast majority of the players his Agent represents do the same thing to their clubs also, **** that guy !

I dont like the way he has basically held us to ransom. If he said he was off and put a shift in I would wish him well, either way I am not fussed ... some games he turns up others not, come to think of it, I think Kloop system makes him look better than he is, because he only looks good against big teams but then again we always do great against big teams regardless of who is in the team or not

I was angry we didn't get a fee for him but when looked at like this, the truth is he has done nothing wrong.

I've no issue with his behaviour. Lived up to the agreement he made with the club. Hasn't lied his way into the situation like Owen, nor pretended to be some Mr Liverpool do anything for this club type. Good luck to him. As you say though, not convinced we'll miss him greatly. Even if he does go up a level at his new club, as he well might.

                                And this.

He has put it all on the line for the club when played and many were suggesting he was a potential captain in the future after bossing it against the big boys. I won’t begrudge him a move to a league that matches his strengths better like the slower pace in Italy. Especially after he honoured his contract uncomplainingly despite being on wages a fraction of what the likes of the Mig are on.
