I'm amazed that Can to Juventus wasn't announced today now the CL is done and dusted.

I still think it's a shame he's leaving. He's a good player and one that can play a few different midfield roles.

Still has it in him to one day be truly world class. Fair enough if he wants to experience something different, no hard feelings because he saw out his contract, he will do well at Juve.

        All the best Emre.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

The fact it hasnt been announced yet makes me suspicious as to his destination (he can sign for an English club in July)

If he stays in England that would make him popular here

That said he's mostly been linked with City and I don't see the sense in going there if he wants games.

It will more than likely be about money

Can we not move this to General football section? That'll hurt him

No, breaking both his legs with a sledgehammer would hurt him.......or if you prefer a less violent option you could try telling him Mo has a better hair style.

Does anyone else find it strange this hasn't been announced yet, even though it could've been, legally, for months now? I get that the club has maybe asked him to wait before saying anything, but now we've both signed his replacement and played our last game of the season, so the timing is surely appropriate.

I'm not saying he'll stay, but maybe he's going elsewhere - I think other English clubs can only offer him an official deal when he's a free agent - Man City maybe?

I've not really given it much thought. I don't think it matters really, it's not as if we should be particularly worried about playing against him, and if he stays he might get some games but isn't going to improve us. Over him now.

I'd say when he's fully fit and comitted he'd definitely improve us. I'd be happy for him to stay, though I'm not counting on it.

If someone had offered me Fabinho instead of Can, I'd have snapped their fingers off. Fabinho will be a big upgrade on Can, Henderson will have a fight on his hands with Keita and Fabinho coming in. Can can bugger off.

The way Monaco played and Fabinho transitioned in that team showed he's a far better player then Can. The player closest to Can's ability was Bakayoko.

We had 7 senior midfielders at the start of this season and ended it with 3. He's a good player, and if it means that we can rotate or call from the bench a player who's better than someone else, then he improves us by definition, right? I'd rather have him than Wijnaldum right now, Milner is approaching 33 years of age, Lallana was so wank in the final that I'm still raging, although probably wasn't his fault he's so unfit.

Keita, Fekir, Fabinho, Can, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum and Lallana for next season wouldn't be at all over the top.
