of course, but there would be a signing bonus on top of the wages which would be millions of pounds.

There's no surprise here if that is what's happening and it' better than him going to another PL club. He's a decent player but I don't think he would be first choice here next season. To be honest I'm not convinced that he's been first choice this season. For me that is because I don't think that he is really suited to our style of play, he seems to slow the game down and wants to take too many touches. I think that is more suited to the Italian game than the PL so I think that it makes sense and I guess Juventus are therefore the obvious choice.I think that he will do well there. He can put in some great performances but they are too few and far between for us. As others have said the most frustrating thing is probably not loosing him but getting no money for him and having to buy a replacement.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If he signs for Juventus it would be on less money than he gets here, which makes me thinks he isn't a guaranteed starter under Klopp going forward hence he thinks he needs to go. Also, he might fancy a change of scenery where life isn't as probably as hard as it is in the UK

Says a lot that he's a German, available on a free, and Bayern haven't (it would seem) tried to pick him up.

Is less money in Italy still less once relevant taxes have been applied?

Decent player but just not dynamic enough for us going forward. I have never been a big fan, but he has done a decent job. Good luck to him. He saw out is contract, no drama with trying to eat other players or just being a miserable cunt and feigning injury. Still put a shift in when is was obvious he was off

I actually think this is all because he doesn't back himself in Klopp's system. He knows his own limitations and isn't prepared to do the necessary to stretch himself.

Can is a good player and on his best game a very good player but he’s replaceable especially off season.

He’s always seems to me to have a lot of potential, looks like he could push on at anytime and become that domineering midfield general we all hope for.

But that hasn’t happened and maybe it never will but he’s still a good player although we need more than he is offering at this time so this move may well prove to be a good move for us if his eventual replacement meets Klopps demanding tick sheet.

I’ll be sorry to see him go as he’s appears like a good professional and for whatever reason he’s decided on to join Juventus I’m sure he’s put some thought into and not done it lightly.

I wish him all the best even if we haven’t made any money on the deal.

                          Perhaps not fit enough.
                          Oh I don't know.

k'inell, thought that was the list of players they left out of their squad. Was sat there for 5 minutes wondering who the **** they were taking

I genuinely believe he is injured and not ‘banished’ as some have suggested. Klopp has played him in all our big games when fit and I remember how quickly he got back to the Europa run in after a bad injury

Course he's injured. He got injured during a game. And for all the talk of him not being present in team photos etc lately - nor have the likes of Matip.
