I don't think anyone is surprised. He's been doing well for 2 years. Any 20 year old with that much
composure, skill, quality, drive and assertiveness who plays for us is well worth getting a bit excited about.

    'Players need time to settle'

Not players of his quality. All those attributes evident from the first time he took the field.

I think he's dynamite and everyone should be very excited about him.

Can was a beast last night. He played in several positions as the game progressed. Right of the back 3, middle of the back 3 when the second half commenced, slightly higher up the pitch and when we were chasing the the first goal as our advanced midfielder and back to the back 3 again.

        An immense performance!

But it is equal blame/praise. Emre Can was a hell of a signing anyway.
Out of curiousity, how do we "know" this? Have we got an insider on the committee?

Can is definitely a big pat on the back to the scouts, as is Moreno.
I'm unconvinced by Moreno but you can see there is potential. I think Markovic and Lallana will go on to represent value for money in the end too.

That left footed shot that the keeper pushed onto the crossbar. WOW. Such power.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I was most impressed by his versatility last night; he switched positions with Skrtel at halftime, didn't phase him, he pushed into midfield, didn't phase him, he moved back into defence, didn't phase him.

It is easy to forget we're talking about a lad that turned 21 only last month.

He seemed to be everywhere the last 10-15 minutes.

700 games later we may have potentially found someone could step in for Gerrard.

Stevie would have been proud of that performance in his pomp, was very Gerrard like.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He seems to have literally everything doesn't he?

He's fast, even though the media portray him as some lump at times, he kept up with Hazard pretty easily in both legs when dragged wide. Its more power than pace but it equates to the same thing.

Passing, he's very relaxed and can play long and short.

His shooting last night was very dangerous and he got unlucky not to score.

                            20 years of age.. Scary.

The drag backs in his own penalty area or touchline, the perfectly executed chest down near the penalty spot when Skrtel totally mistimed his header, the shoulder drops and runs out from defence. Things of beauty.

That's before we talk about his incisive through balls (one almost reaching Sturridge) or the Coutinho-esque one-two attempts near goal or the effortless shooting. I need a lie down.
                              One tit for another.

There was one run in the second half where he went three quarters up the field and almost managed to lay it on to Sterling, he just kept going and there was nothing they could do
