I reckon he is just trying to get his name raised and make himself "current" again as he's had so long out he's almost forgotten about outside of the club, then he can 'listen to offers' from the Winchester paraplegic XI.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostThere's just no way he has a big part to play. That's a fantasy. If he's happy with a bit part, then fine, but it is a bit part. Perhaps he misheard?removing all the weak links makes us stronger

That'd be great and exactly why he should be kept.Originally posted by Pablo View PostNext year's Sturridge.
Sturridge contributed a few important goals in 20 odd apps. In order to win the league, the squad needs to have these players.
Providing he can stay fit, he's an experienced player to step in late on in a game or to rotate in for the lower profile games.
Who would be a replacement who is better, willing to have a back up role and not expensive? As for talented youngsters, Jones is completely unproven at the top level and so it's fair to assume Kloppo has a better idea.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Hope so mate. I like Lallana more than most do. I think injury-wise Sturridge benefited from only playing every now and then. If doing the same helps Lallana stay fit and he puts in a few key performances/cameos when needed then he can leave on a high with the league title next SummerOriginally posted by Corndog View PostThat'd be great and exactly why he should be kept.

Talking about 60m for himOriginally posted by foresterbloke View PostI'd rather we spunked a bit of cash on Maddison who looks like he's handled the league really well.
Could of bought him last year for 20m... that was when we should have bought him and sold lallana, like a straight swap

He wouldnt have developed like he did at Leicester if he came to us, would have probably played half a dozen games. i would quite happily let them have a season in the premier league with a half decent club and pay 3 times as much once we know they can cut it, But then its not my money.Originally posted by baitman View PostTalking about 60m for him

I like the look of him too but Lallana is effectively 7th choice as a midfielder, 4th at best for the more advanced midfield spot and not sure there is much point signing him for such a role.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostI'd rather we spunked a bit of cash on Maddison who looks like he's handled the league really well.
Don't think there is space in the squad enough for Maddison to truly develop further unless one of Keita, Shaqiri or Ox was to be unavailable/sold. (doubt we will sell any of those 3)Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Standard overrating of English talentOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostLeicester reportedly want £60m for Maddison, which is nuts imo. United heavily linked with him. He's good but I'm pretty sure Leicester only paid £20m for him 12 months ago. How the ****'s his value trebled in a year?"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball."
