Presumably it is to put off other clubs but I guess part of it is a stand on the basis of Leicester were prepared to stump up £20m (which is a fairly sizable amount for them) for a unproven player at this level when no one else was. They allowed him to prove himself at this level, developed him further and feel that they should be rewarded for that, particularly if he goes off to another English club. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He's good but I'm pretty sure Leicester only paid £20m for him 12 months ago. How the ****'s his value trebled in a year?
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Delighted for him. I think he now falls into the category of players that are more important off the pitch than on it, but there's definitely still a role for him.
When I saw the bench yesterday before kick off I did worry if there was enough goals there. I didn't think Lallana would be the one to prove me wrong

It was a fluke, dont think we could rely on that bench to provide goals.Originally posted by Pablo View PostDelighted for him. I think he now falls into the category of players that are more important off the pitch than on it, but there's definitely still a role for him.

Yeah when I saw our bench I thought 5heres zero goals there if we’re chasing the game. Glad to be wrong though.Originally posted by Pablo View PostDelighted for him. Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Seen he was getting quite a bit of grief in match thread, but I thought he did okay, particularly in 2nd half. I thought he recycled the ball well and helped keep the pressure on Villa.
Won 5 out 5 tackles.
1 interception
11 recoveries
1 clearance
88% passing accuracy
3 chances created
2 fouls won, 1 conceded.
I'd almost like to watch the game back and keep and eye on him to judge him properly. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
