We just overpaid for an average player on the basis of him playing one good season in the English top flight at the age of 25. Perhaps he just overperformed last season, and is now back at his normal level?

I hope that he soon finds a level to force his way in to the team, because we reall need some more creativity and a player that can take on players. Hopefully he is more than an ephemera...

Lallana has ability & he isn't getting the chance to show it properly. The guy needs the games aswell for match sharpness. Surely with his work rate & guile around the box.. he should be a banker starter for us?

At the moment though he seems lost, plays ok when he comes in, but rarely given the chance. Maybe Rodgers is easing him into the side.

Pretty sure that last season he actually covered more distance per minute played than Henderson along with being far more effective in terms of goals and assists.

Baffling that he is not starting on a regular basis if he is not carrying an injury of some sort.
