That would be Suarez with 12 Premier league assists last season? Clearly not an selfish individual player.

I know where you're coming from but I think his exit would be more stage managed than a surprise sale at short notice. It would be announced at least six months ahead with laps of honour etc.

          I find those 442oons cringe-worthily bad.

Saw one which was funny once so tried quite a few more and they were all utter ****e.

Barca are copying us from last year - with their Sterling, Sturidge and Suarez being Neymar, Messi and Suarez.

Fair enough, first time i've seen them, and there was a **** load! but i have no idea as i only watched these two start, then posted them.

                Utterly ludicrous

Suarez "cannot even be involved in a football-related charity event". Quite apart from being surreal, FIFA seem to be enjoying this.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Why wouldn't you want to use a global footballing star in the name of charity, baffling decision and only serves to hurt charities that might want to use him.

He can't be involved in a football-related charity event, but he can be involved in a football-related transfer? Hmmmm.

Because a charity event gives him exposure and the ban is about reducing his exposure. It's crappy but it does make sense.

Does he need any more exposure? I'd say probably not and that exposure would be being used for the good of a charity; essentially a ridiculous decision from the FIFA top brass.

In their minds, rightly or wrongly, you would assume based on this decision they believe if he stays out of the news for a while memories will fade, tempers will calm and the smirch on football will be forgotten.

                          Any exposure jeopardises that.

Its about protecting their brand, not about punishing Suarez and certainly not about helping charities, they couldn't give a hoot about that.

If anything it would have made sense to enforce some charity events on him. To help him show contrition and do some good while he's banned etc.

                            Pisstake.

He's involved in one of the biggest transfers in history, involving two of the biggest clubs in the world.

That exposure jeopardies all of it. There's probably some regulation regarding the restriction of movement for a person, but he's still in the news. His name is splattered across all the footballing websites, newspapers, national news, forums, Facebook, Twitter etc.

All about setting an example etc, now he can't ... But in 4 months time, he could though.
