If he had the same level of aggression as say Antonio, he'd be a formidable striker.

He did play fairly well, but the need more aggression (or confidence/drive etc) thing think we are all saying for six or seven years now. How many times do we get a decent performance from him, when he gets minutes, compared to him coming on and putting in a very passive performance which happens a lot more than the sort of game he had against Milan ( and I would argue that was a decent performance rather than a really good one, it is just that our standards for Origi are pretty low so a decent performance seems like a good one when it happens).
For me too often does he show little by way of fight or drive when he gets minutes and instead he sort of ambles about.
He is 26 now and is now into the seventh season since he left Lille to join us and he seems no closer to kicking on.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Would a kid score in crucial CL games? Would they have provided an assist like last night?Originally posted by Charly View PostYeah, he is not great, that is why there is no interest. He does not add anything to the team. Id rather put a kid in there and see how they go. Got to be better than Ox running head down Meeelan Baros style.
Of course he adds to the team. Was muß, das muß.

He does little when we expect it from him & when we don’t expect much he chips in big time.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

If you could get the Divock that looked on top of the world and about to become a star before that Funes Mori destroyed his ankle then it would be great. He was in incredible form and almost unplayable back then. He's looked so timid ever since and that's like 4 years ago?! Amazing he's still here TBH."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

The one thing that seems to be back in all our players is energy - I think a proper pre season and real team building/motivation from Klopp and co is invaluable. We are a team that needs energy and without it we look way off. The defence getting restored and players being in their right positions help so muchOriginally posted by Assassin View PostSomethings changed in his game in the last couple of appearances.... It can be said he didnt really fit Klopp's system, he always looked the odd one out. Keep it up Div
Great from Divock and long May it continue

Needs to actually get game time in league/champ games though. Otherwise that confidence will vanish pretty quickly. He seems to be a really tidy little finisher, always has slotted some nice goals and has a neat touch. Would be interesting to see what he'd have done with these chances that Mane and Jota have been wastingOriginally posted by SB View PostLooking like a player again & enjoying his football. I wonder if they've tried him in a Firmino role? He certainly has the vision and close control to make it happen.Originally posted by Harv View PostIf you could get the Divock that looked on top of the world and about to become a star before that Funes Mori destroyed his ankle then it would be great. We’re in the middle of 7 matches in 21 days so there’s a start & if we can go on a bit of a run in the cups for a change we just might see a bit more of him.Originally posted by Harv View PostNeeds to actually get game time in league/champ games though.
