We are just going to accept a big hit on this. He will be sold in the summer, just doesn't fit our system.

It's not just the lack of mobility, the lack of energy, the lack of drive or the lack of battle, it's the petulance that winds me up too. The fella spends most of his time hanging round the box, barely moving for the creatives, and when a ball is played to him that isn't exactly what he wanted, he's moaning and whining like an entitled bitch, gesticulating at the passer like he's apportioning blame. He's scored a few stunners, but they don't make up for the three he's ****ed up from inside the 6 yard box (v Bournemouth, Arsenal and now Newcastle). He's cost us there today and shown himself up as being below the standard we need. I dare say Mario's level would have risen under Klopp, so we have gained pretty much nothing from signing him and lost another fortune in the process.
Is it just me, or does he not even look that arsed?

i think he is frustrated with the poor service and the way most of the other lads just keep running into dead ends and losing the ball or cut back a couple of times rather than play a quick ball along the back line between the defence and the goalie so he has free space to move into.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View Post

just watched motd and you could see players running with their heads down and not passing early, or blindly passing to benteke when he has five newcastle players all over him rather than playing wide to clyne so he could cross into the gap to allow benteke to run on to it.
the only through ball that looked right was from lallana.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

the standard of delivery from the wide areas is nothing short of embarrassing. Ibe, Clyne & Moreno in particular work so hard to get into good positions in the wide areas... but the quality of their crossing is pretty awful. The quality of our crosses, corners & free kicks is pretty poxy in general to be honest.

Why is there a picture of a Goldeneye Duck on Benteke's Tapatalk thread? Ha ha. Think it's a Goldeneye anyway.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

Saying that Moreno put a brilliant ball in across the six yard box in the first half and Benteke was outside the area.
Think he needs players to go past him for him to have any use to us.
Front three were very stuck in their positions , didn't seem to have any interchanging between them.
But saying that Ibe and Firmino don't look like scoring for us.
Would of thought Origi would have been gagging to play after midweek.

That was horrendous, fair enough you cant *expect* him to get on the end of it but a bit of drive and/or anticipation wouldn't go amiss, at least get in there and cause the most hapless, nervous defence in the country some confusion! All well and good whining about the service but quality strikers have the ability to turn not so good crosses and that in to great looking ones!

I don't think he's ever going to convince me. Being a brilliant goalscorer and / or scorer of brilliant goals - and nothing else - is fine for mid-table sides but we demand more of a centre forward. I think we've scored six goals in the eight league games he's started. Also saw a stat - not sure if it's right - that we've only scored more than 1 with Benteke in the side once.
He should be benched for a good while now. I'd rather go with Firmino as a false 9 if Sturridge and Origi aren't fit. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yep. Bring the big ox off the bench. He seems to put a shift in then and rattles leggy defenders. If he has a problem with it he can feck off back to Villa"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Every time for me though I'd play Origi as much as possible as well as I mentioned above - it might pay better dividends in the medium term.
Brendan Rodgers last error is how I think of Bentekers.

I think it is a mythical style of football the flying winger getting to the byline, whipping in a cross to the big man and getting a load of goals. It's jumpers for goalposts 442 football tactics 101. Typically, if you have a big guy in the team, he is used as an out ball/ rallying point and his presence ends up affecting the entire style of play. I don't think our football is as dynamic or as fluid when Benteke plays, and I don't see that changing with our chosen formation.
Benteke is not without qualities, but in all my years of watching LFC the closest we have ever come to having a big lumbering CF was one year with Heskey. Based on the goals he scored midweek, the sheer variety of his play his speed and mobility Origi looks a better long term bet.
I don't see it working out for Benteke at LFC, because I don't think he fits in any system we can play, and he's not good enough to build the team around. £32million wasted for me, though I hope he proves me wrong.Last edited by Buzzo; 07-12-15, 11:50 AM.Modifying post.
