I think every Liverpool fan in the world knew that defence was our major issue and yet we bought ZERO CBs in the window. I can't fathom how they could be so negligent, this VVD or nobody bull**** doesn't cut it - Chelsea bought Morata after missing out on Lukaku because they needed a CF and look at him score for fun.

The £40m spent on Ox (who is getting no game time) seems crazy when we needed a CB, he'll get less time when Lallana is fit. Our transfer business has again ****ed us this summer and I'm not sure if it is Klopp's stubbornness, Edwards's inexperience or FSG being tight arses.
yup and United bought Lukaku after missing out on Griezmann and Morata and look at him. Nobody can tell me that there was not one CB in club football that wouldn't have improved us. Utter madness.

A ridiculous **** up from us this window, nothing new for us though. Next is United and Spurs away ffs.

I think Klopp wants to play a higher line than what we do now. With a pacey centre-half who is good at anticipation, a leader, and strong in the air, he earmarked VVD for that. Thanks to our monumental cock-up, he didn't come.

What's weird for me is that they truly didn't believe there's anyone else in the world of football with those attributes, except a centre-back at Southampton who was injured for half of the season?

Never mind physical attributes, we need players that communicate with each other.

It isn't one thing though that's the problem, we have so many issues at the moment. No leaders, lack of quality, no aggression, no heart, no balance.

The team is all over the shop, we don't seem to know our arse from our elbow. Klopp is constantly chopping and changing around personnel to try and fix a problem that existent within the personnel themselves. Simple fix, buy new players ffs. Only so much you can coach players, arrogant to think you can fix everything by coaching.

GK, CB, CM, CF were crying out to be sorted. Every man and his dog knew this ffs and yet we did nothing. We are relying on the team to score more than they inevitably concede... it's crazy stuff.

With regard to GK, we have Danny Ward, who I'm a little concerned about regarding his development, as he looks as though he's going to play a single figure number of games this year. It may be similar with Karius too.

CF is a weird one. As fans, we're guilty of overrating Firmino, and still harbour this belief that Sturridge can play up front on his own, even though his movements are more consistent with a false No.9. However, on the whole, fans seemed happy to go into the new season with this.

CB was a cock-up on our part, as acknowledged by my previous post. CM, well, Keita's in for next season, and I sure wouldn't mind seeing Ox in there, just to provide energy and power.

                But its pretty close

I honestly think both Michael Keane and Maquire are better than Lovren

Dont get me wrong I am not saying they are world class or anything daft like that they are just better than Lovren (which isnt seeting the bar high I admit)

He is starting to make some strange questionable choices.... I dont think he quite graps what rotation means. He seems to think you have one team for one competition and another for another competition.... instead of playing your best team for every game and resting/rotating the players when they need a rest. None of them need a rest after about 7 games into the season... We seem to play our best football when he is forced to play basically the same team over and over.

Hi subs dont have any reasoning behind them either... he just makes changes around 80 mins for the sake of making them.

I never thought Firmino was the answer as our centre forward. I had a conversation with a few people months back about it being imperative that we sign a striker and that Firmino is best when he is played deeper.

He's a very talented guy if hit and miss, he racked up good stats last season but we need our CF to be banging in goals regularly. He will rack up decent stats but he is not a CF and never has been. I argued the point that wwe needed a banker 20-25 goals per season striker, a few people keep saying that Firmino up top is essential to Klopp's pressing game and that goals are shared around the team and it is not necessary to have that flat track bully. It is very hard to name a team that has won the league in any country, in recent times that has not had a top striker in their side. The top sides winning and having a class striker is not a coincidence.

One thing that is baffling me, and was the same alot of the time last season when we limped to 4th spot... what the hell has happened to our pressing game ? Occasionally we might see it in the few games, usually against the big sides but for some reason we just don't do what we did when Klopp first came here. We see it a few times a year usually against Arsenal/Spurs/City and that's it. WTF has happened to that intensity!?

Now we may very well see it vs United or Spurs and Firmino might score but I do genuinely think that LFC and Klopp have a serious personnel problem that cannot be fixed unless we buy other players. Switching one **** player for another **** player in the hope that something clicks doesn't work, it has been proved over and over and over. What's worse is constant rotation and chopping/changing breeds a lack of continuity. Different keepers and different defenders every game, no wonder communication is non existent.

Things need to change and change quickly. The defence will leak goals, no question and we aren't clinical enough up top no question. What we are going to have to hope is that players like Coutinho, Mane, Salah, Firmino, Sturridge can drag us through to January still in the mix and we "must" go into the market. Scoring more than we concede seems the name of the game, need to get the lads to shooting practice.

                        We need to play 4-2-3-1.

I was listening to that stupid journo programme that's on Sky on Sunday morning and they were talking about an article by one of their peers and the jist was that the running distances and pressing was considerably lower than last season

Because we have more of the ball.

Also, there was a stat somewhere stating that Man. United's running stats have been less this year. You all are over analysing things.
                            Are we winning?

I reckon it's a win against Maribor and one point from those three league matches. October is going to be depressing as ****, mark my words and it's why I'm not going to watch us this month.

I'm 40 ffs and I can't let my moods be dictated by a bunch of millionaires half way round the world kicking a ball around a field.

I understand why some posters just drop in for the social and discuss music or politics and **** off the football side of things.
