You're wrong about Moreno this season, he's been pretty solid at left back and I think Matip needs someone steadier beside him.

Lovren and Mignolet need to be dropped to the reserves and never played again, they're not good enough for Liverpool FC at all.

I hope the upcoming windows are about defensive players, players with nous, players with leadership, players that communicate, players with strength.

Moreno has shocked me, he has played very well by his standards. You can still see him getting caught out of position a few times every game though or diving in... luckily for him he hasn't been punished like Lovren has.

s for Liverpool, let us be frank with each other. They are a great club with amazing history and they deserve a manager to reflect those points. There are few managers in the world who can take the title to Anfield but I believe former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti is one of those.

The blind spot causing current Reds boss Jurgen Klopp not to see the deficiencies in his defence is becoming seriously embarrassing and must be affecting players like Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

I said at the beginning of the season that it was madness to turn down the £100m-plus offer from Barcelona for Coutinho and not use that money to build a defence worthy of challenging for the title. Having rejected that extraordinary offer, Liverpool executives are now forced to rethink the club's strategy and fix what is an obvious problem. The man that can do that is Ancelotti and they must get him now while he's available.

No one is going to buy Lovren and pay him anything like 100k a week.

He'll be expensive cover when we finally get our finger out and sign a CB.

Klopp has so much to like about him, great personality & good cv but he really has not done himself any favours. I want him to succeed so much but the guy is so ****ing stubborn it's unreal.

Coaching players to be better rather than buying more players sounds like an admirable suggesting but some players just cannot be coached to be better players.... some players are just not good enough. I have been on the forums for a long time like most of you guys and it is rare for everyone to be in such agreement at what is wrong and what needs to happen.

I think that the decision not to sign a centre back in the summer is a massive mistake that could come back to haunt him. Managers are judged on their achievements and failing to get CL football for next season would be a massive blow and push the club backwards a year whilest he clocks up another in the role. At some point the pressure will start to build because he's been here for X years and we've not won a trophy or we've only made the CL y times. For me that decision alone has added a year where we have achieved nothing and puts him under that pressure a year sooner than he should have been. Hopefully I am wrong and we can turn it around but at the moment that is looking like a pivotal point

It's just really ****ing frustrating. I want him to succeed with us more than any other manager I can think of; him winning things with Liverpool would be epitome of perfection. I think much of the reason we have stalled is down to him though, he's no longer the infallible and effervescent genius on a mission to drag our asses out of mediocrity, he embroiled in it, part of it. I hope to God he can start to rebuild momentum and progress with some signings in Jan or August and storm next season (its always next season) but I fear he's lost some of the ability to motivate the players and convince them that following his lead will inevitably result in success. If they have the same niggling doubts that we now seem to then I suspect the dream may peter out.

We were flying towards the end of 2016 and it fell apart in Jan 2017. We recovered but didn't reach the same heights and then limped over the line for our 4th place finish. Add on this season so far and I think it's fair to say that progress has stalled in terms of points won.
