He will sort it out and I also don't think FSG should take the blame for 'failing' to buy what we need. I think the money was there but we made the wrong decisions and cocked up on the Van Djyk transfer.

I think he might have realised that a few of these players he has put his faith in has let him down a bit too many times.
Tottaly agree with you. And FSG spent only about 23M pounds per season on players doesn't help us either. They are making profit out of our club.

Q: do you think Mourinho/Guardiola would not have spent a massive fortune in the summer if they had inherited our team?
        Really?

          Would not have?

That's the most confusing/pointless question ever..!

All speculation as we don't know how much money without having to sell was truly available. But knowing them they would spend a boatload if possible.

Really? did you actually read it? There's only one negative in there mate! For the record, I think they would have spent even if they could not get their first choices. And it would have cost a lot of money, and I think FSG would've funded it. In other words, Klopp's choice. Guardiola was spending a fortune on third choice full backs...
              Really?

                I getcha

City are on another level financially. They had about 5 £40m players on the bench yesterday.

Well yes, but my point is that even FSG had money to spend and were willing to spend it. Honestly I believe that - I know not everyone does, but I do. Even now. The money was there to spend on improving the back four and it was available - Klopp et al decided not to use it. I realise that's not everyone's view but I stand by it.

EDIT: sorry I'm ranting a bit now so I'm going to stop!

FSG is better than the last set with Mane, Salah and Firmino signings but they have also dropped the ball in other key areas.
Still the owners fault?? The same owners who said ok to an unnecessary Ox wouldn't have said yes to Klopp to use that money for a defender instead? What's happening to this forum?

Whose idea was it spend money on the Ox, a player we didn't need, and not spend it on a decent CB or a GK?

Fsg apparently. And the middle East crisis. And the poverty in Africa. Bloody American carpet baggers.

Like I said previously Ancelotti told them money needed to be spent and when Klopp said the current squad was good enough they went with the manager who didn't ask for money to be spent.

Klopp is no fool and will know our defence is ****e but I really think he has been told money is not there and he needs to sell to buy. I now beleive FSG think all purchases need to come from sales.
Why blow 35m on ox then? Are the marketing department picking players?

Absolutely. You can't blame the owners for not spending 30m+ on a defender when they were happy to do it for a squad midfielder. As if they interfere that much.
