FFS He's gone, just like your youth Shaggy.

If he doesn't write us a cheesy letter (are players still doing those?), then I will be bitterly disappointed

No guarantee of being the main man at Bayern either as there are guys in that team that are seen as Bayern guys and then there are the rest.

May well like the idea of a new challenge, but if reports of him being offered a 360k a week wage are accurate I think it is safe to say that played a part.

Do not begrudge him it if he can get a club to pay that. We had his best years and he was a model pro for us.

Hope he tears it up at Bayern if/when the move goes through, save for if they meet us in the CL of course.

Against us I hope he falls on his arse all game long.

He is also being brought in to replace a player with a completely different style than Mane, and also one who bangs in about 50 goals a season.

        Not easy.

He may be, or he may well be the replacement for Gnarby on Bayern's left wing as Gnarby is in the final year of his contract and is rumoured to want out.

He will definitely win some titles. The league is probably a bit slower. More money.

He did well for us. We are getting a transfer fee which allows us to replace him.

He is pushing 30, and relies a lot on pace and acceleration.

I think this is a case of everyone is happy... And he will leave with everyones blessing. People might feel a bit different towards Mo winding his contract down.

Regardless, we will all be keeping our eye out for him, as he is a hero who shared an awesome journey with us.

              Good luck Sadio!

wonder if they will improve his first touch (which still infuriates me!)

His first touch is a weird one, when he's in form it's great and his ability at recieving and keeping the ball under pressure is second to none.

Other times it's like it's his first time playing football

If he puts in a shift all season and does no silly billy stuff a la Michael Owen making out right to the end he was going to re sign, then fair enough.

We have benifited well from free transfers like Milner and Matip, and we will have had Salah's best years with us (though I suspect he might have more years at the very top left in him than Mane does) so every now and then we will be hit with someone seeing out their contract. He is not the first and will not be the last to do so.

My own take is if he behind closed doors admitted that he will leave next summer, I would have pushed hard to see if we could sell him this summer though with Mane looking like he is out the door it might be too big a risk to loose both in the one window unless a massive offer came in for Salah.

Part of me wonders if Mane leaving might see Salah sign a new contract though.

Not in a glad to see the back of him way, but in that a % of Mane's wages could be added to a package for Salah. Maybe not a direct wage increase but rather a bonus payment of X million that over the term of the contract would have added up to an extra 100k or whatever per week.

I was pleased when we signed him and am sorry to see him go.
He has pulled us through the salah barren period almost single handedly, and gives us the needed grit and aggression that we lack elsewhere.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He's probably bored of Boris' **** and wants to move to a more interesting country.

Where's this supposed bid from Bayern then? We could go into the new season with Mane still part of our frontline, which wouldn't be all bad I guess.
