He deserves everything and more. Good luck to him.

The perks of being a free agent. Fair play to him.

He never complained about being a relatively low earner for someone who was valued enough to be played every minute, while there were squad players above him on 6 figure weekly wages.

He’s earned it, good luck to him.

This feels like a very badly advised deal though he could have gone anywhere else to play for a better team and made a ****load more cash. At least he's not rocking up in Manchester.

The Barca fans are petty *******s and probably won't forgive him for that semi either

Strange one though, as Koeman probably getting the boot.
He wanted a 4 year deal 12 months ago so now 3 years.

He'll be asking for 2-3x compared to what he's on now.. won't mean a pay cut vs his current salary.

Surely he wouldn't accept a pay cut? I thought he was already relatively-underpaid at Liverpool?

For some games he was after Madrid, bit part in the last 6 games or so when we kicked into gear. He will not be a regular starter next season imo as he is not good enough yet to take that role. His is young, talented and will get plenty of game time and will get his chance to stake a claim.

    He was injured

Will miss Gini, his ability to stay fit, be available and have that engine firing in every game is rare. We have to get rid of the injury prone guys even if they have ability and "might" one day eventually get over their injury woes, it's the hope that kills you. We need squad depth and we need quality squad depth, means nothing have quality in reserve if they are never available to play or when they are available they are "just coming back" from an injury lay off.

Obviously injuries can happen to anyone but likes of Gini have the same amount of games in 7 years as Keita has since the turn of the year. Anyways he's off and best of luck to him.
