yeah good shout. We do need another attacking midfielder. I wouldn't say Gini is the most creative of midfielders, type of player that can do some magic but he can be effective in a more attacking role.

I also see Gini being used more offensively this season. He's a fantastic player

Not for me Clive. Doesn't offer enough going forward and I much prefer him in a more disciplined midfield role.

Wouldn't mind seeing it occasionally as a plan B as I think he can play any midfield position (attacking or defensive) but it's clearly not going to happen. Even when we had several players out he didn't feature in an attacking role or even play in the Mane position which he played for Newcastle (not even off the bench). Klopp doesn't see him as that kind of player in our system. As I say, he's definitely capable, look at his goals/assist stats when playing in advanced positions at other clubs.

Would always have wanted to keep hold, but essential now that Oxlade-Chamberlain is out for an extended period.

Not for me at all.
He has some good moments, odd good games, but lacks consistency and often goes awol.
If we are looking to improve the team and remove and replace the weakest links then we need better than him.

He’s still meh for me. Too many games where he has been a complete passenger, especially away from home, for me to have too much faith in him. Happy if he ups his game and proves me wrong though.
