Poor bloke, but did he manage it during the Boro game?

Yeah wasn't Emlyn Hughes a 6 - sticks in my mind for some reason - and he was principally a CB with occasional stints at LB or DM.

I think people should look at the stats first before they judge Gini in an attacking sense. Last season was a write off in terms of production as he was deep lying role ( Remember not his natural role, a job asked of him by Klopp), scored 2 Goals 4 Assists. His first season was a mix of deep lying but a more attacking role than last season, 6 Goals 9 Assists.

Now lets look at his production for Newcastle & PSV whilst played in an attacking role.

          Newcastle 15/16: Goals: 11 Assists 5
          PSV: 14/15: Goals 18 Assists 3

He can absolutely play a more attacking role because that is his natural position. Can't judge the guy because Klopp made him change his game. Personally I think he deserves credit, just like Henderson to be fair for accepting the role they are asked to play even though it goes against their natural game.

He can play in an attacking role but we have better players at the club now so I doubt he will next season.

He has a knack of arriving late into the box at Newcastle but Salah and Mane do that job very well for us... Where we could do with improvement is providing assists not goal scoring. He has never been an assist machine.

But yeah, he's great to have in the squad.

I think its his creativity thats a drawback, despite the high rate of assists.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

So there in no truth in him going to OL in exchange for Fekir ?
I make no apologies, this is me

He's a huge asset to the squad IMO. All energy, versatile, nice baller & good attitude... Klopp player to a tee.

I've no idea about that but I would be surprised if he did, with Ox out for the season I would imagine we would want to bring in an extra player in there rather than just swap one for another.

third most minutes last season, as if he was going to Turkey due to lack of playing time, most minutes in the front 6 so far

He’s incredibly talented & can play anywhere across midfield seemlessly.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He's had a great start to the season, I'm not sure if it is the competition for places or the balance in this midfield 3 suits him or what. But I had him down as one of the players who would be on the fringes of the side with the changes we made in midfield over the summer. At the moment he looks like he will be difficult to displace.
