In my admittedly small sample, players get surrounded with bellends.

I used to work at a place that had a partnership with one of the company's Ox and his missus are heavily involved with - they're the faces, own all or significant amount of the company etc etc.

Ox has a persona of being a cheeky chappy, happy go lucky type - yet the dickheads he employed to work at the company where complete and utter ****s - to a man. Vile, nasty, lying, intimidating, changing briefs, difficult with money etc etc. The worst kind of company you could ever imagine having to deal with.

So I suspect that TAA is no different - it'll attract the type of people that want a piece of the footballer lifestyle. ******s with egos basically.

Well, he has been really, really **** tbh. He needs to get his **** together, maybe Southgate shouldn't have called him up at all.

His current form is exactly why Southgate doesn't like/rate him and hasn't for years. Basically he's a weak link defensively.

It's annoying as previously I think the criticism was unfair, but at the moment you can't really argue with it.

I’d argue that Southgate is a boringly defensive oriented manager who can’t organise a team around people’s strengths.

Maybe that's part of his current malaise, the fact that the current England manager doesn't rate him, and that he won't get picked no matter what...even when he was in the form of his life and by far the best RB in the country, Southgate still wouldn't give him the time of day. For a player that desperately wants to play for his country, that has to be a hard pill to swallow.
