I think he meant since Trent broke into the team playing RB, he has played most of his games there since.
Ah fair enough. He's not the best pundit our Stevie.

If you mean mentally? Hmmm debatable.... what better way to learn than in the deep end? I think this is the problem we have with a lot of youngsters these days, they are "protected" and hardly get a frigging game.
spot on pal

That said, Mendy is fast, skillfull and built like a ****ing heavyweight, looks a hell of a player.
Hopefully he learns some important lessons from today, he's a promising player but his inexperience showed today. You are right about Clyne, I think that people tend
not to appreciate the value of experience. I think that this is why he needs to be (and is being) brought into the side slowlyThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That's pretty harsh. He had a tough game but out of his depth? Come on. He made a few good interceptions. The only issue is that he was a bit nervous and second half he couldn't cope with Mendy but this could have been due to the change in system.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostWay out of his depth.. Did you say that when he played at Old Trafford last year? Young players will have stinkers from time to time. The good ones learn from it.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostWay out of his depth.. I hope Gomez recovers soon.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Trent had a bad day alright but he certainly wasn't alone in that. Is it fair to blame his performance in a lack of experience when the experienced pros all around him were even worse?
I would have no problems playing him again. What were our options anyway? Gomez? He's not exactly experienced either.
