Fair enough, I gave up after the second goal.

It was a bad game for him to have a bad game. His positioning was shocking.
He'll learn though.Modifying post.

I think that games like these are key in young defenders development, the game has exposed an area of his game that looks like a weakness, other teams and players will try to exploit this weakness, it's up to him to ensure that it he develops this side of his game to ensure that it doesn't become a problem.
Obviously he was up against a very good player yesterday and that won't always be the case, but there is something for him to learn fromThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I thought that Cituy were crazy for spending so much on full backs (still can't believe what they spent on Walker) but Mendy was brilliant.
Trent was a bit of a car crash alright - started to go ****e when the fat cunt of a ref talked to him about his throw-ins.
I would say this though - if we were a top side, then our experienced pros would have recognised this and rectified it early on. Matip and Henderson should have taken it upon themselves to help the lad out with some more in-game coaching. In reality there was no leadership.
I thought the red card was very harsh - don't give a **** what the "experts" say. In reality, you just ****in KNOW that there will be 3 or 4 of them against us this season that don't get red cards. But a top team would have regrouped, held their own, defend well and to be honest, waste some ****in time. A top team would have kept it 1-0 until 10 mins to go and then had a go themselves in the last ten minutes. But we capitulated. Badly.
Matip, Klavan and Trent all played a bad game. So did Henderson. And Gini. Moreno doesn't get mentioned but the feeling I get with him is that it is a pleasant surprise if he doesn't cost us a game (he never really helps win us a game either so I don't really see the point in him).
People have said that Maguire would have been a good addition. To be honest, it would have been a no-brainer because of his age - the way the market has gone, then we could have sold him for more next season even if he didn't kick a ball for us.
Also, I thought Mignolet couldn't really be faulted for any of the goals (although kick out was ****e for the first goal). It's funny, I thought Karius was dodgy v Arsenal yet kept a clean sheet in a 4-0 win......Mignolet was okay but we lost 5-0!!!

The first 30 mins or so before they scored we were killing them down his side, Salah got behind him a number of times. Once the game opened up and we gave up he wasn't being tracked coming forward and looked ace.
credit where it is due though - the quality of his delivery was excellent.

This will do the lad's character the world of good, everything before this was rosy, his goal against Hoff elevated him higher than he should have been.
Hopefully Klopp rebuilds him stronger and wiser, he will be fine. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Problem with City and us is both our managers love the full backs going forward and being part of the attacking all the time ,
Sometimes they leave other players exposed which is what happened with Ottamendi
Feel like this is when a midfielder who can read the game would be able to assist TAA more and get him some cover. De Bruyne and Mendy are going to tear a few teams apart this year down that side.
With hindsight felt that Milner as right back would have been a good call as he knows when to foul the man , go long etc , felt we were more solid last year with him as a full back.
