He's a great athlete - quick, good touch, good cross/shot. It's going to be interesting to see who wins the RB position out of Trent, Gomez and Clyney. Can we keep them all happy with rotation?

If all three were fit in the morning and on form, then Clyne would get the nod for me. He is a quality full back and I think he would work very well in tandem with Salah on the right flank.

We saw last season just how well Clyne worked with Mane, so a wideman of the quality of Salah would probably allow Clyne to link up a hell of a lot in build up play.


But given how Gomez and especially TAA have come along in their play this season, the gap between our first choice right back and the back ups for the role is not as wide as it was.

TBH I would be using Gomez as LB cover as well as him being RB cover. He played quite well at LB for us under Rodgers.

I'm starting to subscribe to the view that TAA is too good to be a right back and positionally he may move in a few years. Maybe even a Regista. My only concern is he's a natural athlete and with a good engine, you can see why he's started as a fullback. He's got to earn more experience but he has a very exciting career ahead of him, bags of quality.

He will fill out in the next couple of years as best time to fill out is the early 20's as before then the body is still sensitive to muscle development hence why a lot of youngsters get injuries so quickly.

He's a young lad, and at least there isn't criticism of his performances or over the top hype. He's just being allowed to play, which is very rare for youngsters who break through. No talk of being England's right back for years to come (let alone Liverpool), or anything like that. It's very rare for a young player to have that in the Premier League at a top club, so we should be thankful for it.

I'm glad there isn't much praise being heaped on him. Let him develop, have his good and **** games, and we'll have a top player on our hands as his default level performances improve.
